Biography:
Julie-Christine Cotton, PhD, ps. éd., is an associate professor in Addiction Services at the Faculté de médecine, Université de Sherbrooke, and scientific director of the Laboratoire de recherche inclusif. Her work focuses on the prevention and treatment of substance use disorders, with particular interests in minority stress and the adaptation of services for minoritized populations, including LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent individuals. Trained in psychoeducation at Université de Sherbrooke and in Lifestyle and Wellness Coaching at Harvard Medical School, she has developed expertise in integrative approaches to addiction, including the clinical relevance of breathwork and pranayama.
