Biography:
Lisa Starkman, JD, RN, brings an interdisciplinary perspective to addiction research and treatment. As a document review attorney, she contributed to a landmark case involving the negligent dispensing of opioid prescriptions by major pharmacies. As a psychiatric nurse, she worked with patients in active addiction, observing the progressive nature of the disease. She served as a Research Assistant to Dr.David Lagakos and Professor Lynn LoPucki, earning acknowledgment in scholarly publications. Drawing on her own experience with addiction, she meets individuals where they are. Her background in law, nursing, and research positions her to advance evidence-based solutions in addiction.
