Biography:
Dr. Samhita Bhushan is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at LNCT Medical College, Indore. She completed her postgraduate training at RD Gardi Medical College, Madhya Pradesh (2015–2018), and previously served as an officer in the Army Medical Corps from 2008 to 2013, bringing strong clinical and leadership experience to her academic career.
Her work focuses on addiction psychiatry, cannabis policy, and drug use research in South Asia. She has presented at prominent international platforms, including the International Addiction Conference at AIIMS, the International Congress of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and the Asian Drug Policy Conference in Hong Kong, where she received international scholarship recognition. She also represented Asia at the European Congress on Legal and Regulations in Cannabis.
Dr. Bhushan collaborates with the University of Hong Kong on regional drug use research and actively contributes to women’s welfare initiatives, including grief management support programs.
