AirStart® for Behavioral Health delivers camera-free nicotine, THC, and air quality detection for addiction treatment centers, recovery residences, and behavioral health facilities.
In treatment settings, recovery depends on an environment free of substances and the distractions they bring. Yet vaping is easy to hide — most often in bathrooms and resident rooms, where cameras aren't appropriate and manual checks are inconsistent. Standard smoke detectors aren't designed to detect vape aerosol, and many vape detectors sense only nicotine or only smoke, leaving THC use unnoticed.
Built with Vape Guardian, ceiling-mounted sensors detect:

- Sudden loud noises that may signal an incident

- Logs only the time and location of detection events
When an event occurs, AirStart sends real-time alerts by SMS, email, or app to the right staff member, based on location, shift, and severity. An analytics platform shows patterns by location and time of day, helping leaders adjust staffing, supervision, and support.
