Biography:
Alvaro Garzo Chumilla is a researcher at the University Institute for Research in Biolaw (IUIB- CEBES) at the University of Murcia. He has an interdisciplinary academic background, holding a degree in Biotechnology and currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Biolaw: Law, Ethics, and Science.
At the institutional level, he actively collaborates as a member of the Healthcare Ethics Committee at the Virgen de la Arrixaca University Clinical Hospital and serves as principal researcher at the Chair of Constitutional Education. In addition, he has developed an international academic profile through research stays in Italy at the Università degli Studi del Molise and by collaborating as a scientific publication reviewer for UNAM in Mexico.
He has participated as a speaker at international conferences in Greece and Portugal, addressing topics such as Artificial Intelligence, conscientious objection, and public health. His current research focuses on the intersection between fundamental rights, bioethics, and the regulation of emerging healthcare technologies.
