Biography:
Christina Segura is a first-year counseling psychology PhD student at the University of Houston. She received her BS in corporate communication from Lamar University in 2020 and started her MEd in counseling at the University of Houston in 2021, which she will complete en route to her PhD. Broadly, her research focuses on occupational equity and health disparities among populations marginalized by systems of oppression. Specifically, she is interested in how precarious work affects working Latina mothers and relates to health disparities experienced in that population. When not working, she enjoys spending quality time with her family.
