Biography:
Lily C. Waxler is a founder of a tri-state public health non-profit organization that trained 3,500 young adults how to respond to an opioid overdose. Distributed over 4,000 tests for fentanyl and naloxone kits in partnership with the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. Dedicated researcher in an addiction neuroscience lab from Weill Cornell Medicine and a social psychology lab at the University of Pennsylvania. Pioneer of course collaboration in Pennsylvania which involves partnering with professors of relevant classes to offer Narcan training as an extra credit assignment. Passionate about health disparities, LGBTQ+ rights, addiction research, and drug overdose prevention.
