Biography:
Sophia Lee is a post-bachelor student research intern in the Medicine in Psychiatry Services Division of the Psychiatric Department of URMC. Under Dr. Chang, her research focuses on increasing oral health equity for patients with severe mental illness or substance use disorder. Previous to this she has worked in a genomics laboratory examining selfish genetic elements. Sophia graduated from Emory University in 2019 with a degree in economics and mathematics, and worked in finance for five years before pivoting to healthcare. Her unique background allows her to combine analytical skills with her passion for health policy advocacy and dentistry.
