Title : Alternative treatment approaches, addiction with mental health disorders: A case of two participants in Kenya, East Africa
Abstract:
Patients with synchronized disorders need inclusive case management and an integrated treatment approach that involves substance use, psycho spiritual treatment and mental health treatment. No one method can sort the issues of Mental health disorder. When patients with alcohol or other substance use disorders exhibit symptoms of mental health problems, such as depression, anxiety or psychosis, assume that the substance is a part of the problem. Goals include medical withdrawal management, comprehensive assessment and stabilization of the mental illness using Psycho spiritual Model as added alternative method. Psycho - spiritual method of healing combines spirituality, psychology and culture in the healing process. This study would look at the two cases of clients with mental health issues and how alternative psycho-spiritual method can help them in their struggle for healing.
