The global escalation in opioid misuse has catalyzed urgent public health responses. Governments and healthcare systems now prioritize evidence-based frameworks to address the opioid crisis: public health strategies and interventions. Measures include widespread naloxone distribution, expansion of harm-reduction services, prescription monitoring programs, and public education on safe opioid use. Strategies are increasingly community-centered, focusing on prevention, early intervention, and sustainable recovery. Integration of telemedicine and mobile clinics has broadened access in underserved areas. Equally crucial is reducing stigma, which often deters individuals from seeking help. Multisector collaboration—from law enforcement to public health agencies—has become pivotal in reversing overdose trends.
