Antidepressants are drugs that help treat various other disorders and can help ease the symptoms of depression. Neurotransmitters are a class of brain molecules that antidepressants interfere with as they function. Serotonin and noradrenaline, which function as signal transducers between brain cells, are the neurotransmitters that are most impacted by antidepressants.
